Frequently asked questions

Question : When do I use the additional supplied cradle?

Answer : The additional supplied cradle is a tool designed to support the rotor during the cleaning and inspection of the internals of the valve.

For further information on how to use the cradle, we recommend referring to the cleaning videos available on this website.

These videos are designed to provide visual guidance and step-by-step instructions on effectively utilizing the cradle during the cleaning and maintenance of the valve internals.

Question : How often is scheduled maintenance required?

Answer : The interval between overhauls will vary according to the product being handled and should be based on total operating time.

To a large degree the rate of wear for an application will be ascertained by practical experience.
It is the responsibility of the user to determine the time between inspections (recommendation: for non-abrasive materials every 6 months).

Wear will be influenced by abrasiveness of product, pressure difference over rotor, temperature etc.

Question : What information do I need to provide when requesting a spare part quotation?

Answer : Please mention the serial number that is on the nameplate of your equipment. It typically starts with "RV"

Question : How do I change the ball bearings of the MZC-I/MZC-II rotary valve?

Answer : DMN-WESTINGHOUSE has crafted a detailed bearing replacement manual with a tool list to ensure accurate steps. Be aware that these actions must be carried out by trained and certified personnel. Deviating from this principle, and any resulting damages or defects from such actions, may affect the factory warranty of the product.

Therefore upon request, the manual for bearing replacement is provided. For this, please send an email to: aftersales@dmnwestinghouse.com
