Yes, all protective covers may be removed for maintenance and service purposes. The covers are not part of the structural integrity of the M-TDV.
No, the inflatable seals can be replaced from within the M-TDV after removing the protective covers. The factory piping does not need to be disconnected.
The replacement interval depends on the number of operating hours and the application conditions. We recommend replacing the inflatable seals during every scheduled service interval and, at a minimum, every 12 months to prevent leakage and unplanned downtime.
To facilitate installation, lightly lubricate the cylindrical surfaces of the seal with a food-grade grease before reassembly.
Yes. Plastic sealing rings located between the nozzle flange and the cap nut ensure an airtight connection.
These rings prevent leakage of the compressed air required to inflate the seal. Because they are single-use components, they must be replaced whenever an inflatable seal is serviced or replaced.
Please refer to the Recommended Spare Parts section for further details.
Yes. A wiring diagram is available and can be downloaded from the Downloads section on this page.
Two cables connect the M-TDV to the control unit: the motor cable and the encoder cable. The motor cable is the limiting factor for the maximum installation distance.
Without additional filters, the maximum cable length is 20 metres. By using suitable filters, this distance can be extended to 30 metres.
